Education
I currently work in Undergraduate Admission at a local university, and I recently completed a master's degree. I graduated from the University of Kentucky with a B.A. in Integrated Strategic Communication and a minor in English. I was in the Honors Program, received a full-tuition scholarship and graduated with honors. I am also an alumna of the Kentucky Governor's Scholars Program.
Experience
I have experience tutoring students in English and writing. I scored a 35 on the English section of the ACT and a 30 composite, and I scored a 720 on the writing portion of the SAT. For several years, I have helped friends and coworkers review papers, assignments, cover letters and applications for both content and grammatical errors. I taught private and group swim lessons and worked as an assistant swim coach for more than six years, and I found many ways to adapt my teaching style to meet the needs of my individual students. I was fortunate to have many talented teachers invest in me over the years, and I enjoy having the opportunity to share what I have learned with others.
