Education

I am currently a post-doc at the University of Kentucky and have my Ph.D. in Physiology. I previously attended Alma college where I earned a B.S. degree with a major in physiology and a minor in chemistry.

Experience

I taught Anatomy and Physiology classes for a year at Bluegrass Community and Technical College. I also served as adjunct faculty at Transylvania University for ~1.5 teaching biology classes. I have mentored high school and undergraduate students that temporarily work in my lab at UK. I recently tutored a UK student in Physiology. I tutored statistics, chemistry and physiology at Alma College while I was a student there.

Hobbies

I spend a lot of my time working on my research and teaching at BCTC, but when I'm not in the lab I enjoy running, volleyball and reading. I love to teach and feel a sense of accomplishment when I can help a student understand material and improve their grades. I particularly like to teach in the math and science field as I have quite a bit of experience in those areas and feel very comfortable with the material.
