Experience
I tutored at the University of Kentucky's student-athlete academic center for over two years. My experiences were positive in that I was able to help freshmen athletes navigate the uncertain waters of juggling both athletic and academic obligations. The reinforcement of their positive feedback made me feel like I was making their lives just a little bit easier. I also have over 4 years of experience with Fayette County Schools. Some of those were spent as a substitute, but recently my efforts rewarded with a permanent para-educator position with Jessie Clark Middle. I'd like to be a tutor because I have been in most students' shoes before where I felt helpless in learning a certain subject or felt I could have gotten more outside assistance.
